Parent Support Group - Focused Around Three Main Topics: Awareness, Education, and Inclusion
The Down Syndrome Association of Northwest Indiana & Chicagoland, founded over 30 years ago, serves families of both children and adults with Down syndrome. Our volunteers aim to provide support, information and services to better educate those facing a new journey with a pre or post natal diagnosis as well as families that might be new to the area.
The DSA strives to provide group meetings and seminars featuring local and national speakers on a variety of topics including education, speech therapy, medical challenges and social development. Our website furthers our mission by providing families with the information they need to make educated choices affecting their child?s well-being and development. The funds we raise are used to purchase the latest information sources via book, audio/video tape, and DVD format that we share with members through our lending library at no charge. With your help we can make a difference. Thanks for visiting! Your support is appreciated.
